Chewk 15mm Drill Tank and Canon

Chewk 15mm Drill Tank and Canon

I have been preparing the drill tank and Chewk canon for spraying and painting tonight. The Drill tank is on a GW base with enough edge to enable me to model on broken earth/sand that the tank has just burst from. The top darker grey section is the drill bit.

The smaller artillery base is a Kerr and King resin base with the Chewk canon and crew. The beast of burden (Chewkamel) and canon are in the unlimbered position. You can also connect the canon onto a mobile extending platform that pops out of the side of the Drill tank. I liked the look of the small canon unlimbered, so I decided to base it as an artillery piece. I will need to obtain another drill tank to complete the model with the gun attached to the extending arm and model some crew bursting from the side of the tank, they will make a nice pair as one model bursts up out of the sand and another is ready to fire.

Both models will get sprayed and painted up this week in colours similar to sand crawler of star wars fame. The smaller Chewk on his own base is designed to lead the alien beast of burden.

  2. It is the beast of burden that pulls the Chewk Canon. Chewkamel.
