Video Guide basing 15mm Miniatures

This is a short video of my basing method for 15mm miniatures.  In this Youtube video I am basing a selection of  Japanese Powered Infantry by Ground Zero Games (GZG). These 15mm SCI-FI miniatures look a bit like mecha pandas and I am desperate to get some paint onto them.

The guide details the clean up and basing of the models, including the use of the Old Crow models metal bases which I detailed in this article. When I film part II it will include details on painting them.

For a higher res view, follow this link to the Youtube page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Y2p0kW43F4

EDIT: Please note Old Crow only offer the resin bases that you can see here: http://rottenlead.blogspot.com/2010/07/15m-basing-options.html The metal bases were a special order which  are not available to order.

  2. Great looking video, I'll be checking back for the painting demo. For my 15mm sci-fi I've been basing on 1 cent pieces here and using a textured mat medium that I've pre-stained by adding some paint to the jar. The mat medium seems to be similar to your pumice, but has a longer drying time.

    Keep up your great work.

  7. @Fanaticus: No those are resin ones you have mentioned. They are just as good though! I mentioned them in another video.
